The Simrad MS55 SatCom is a sophisticated new satellite communication
system based on the Inmarsat Fleet satellite platform. The MS55 features
the facility for large file transfers and video conferencing making it

users. It has a 60 cm antenna and offers voice in global beam and fax
and data in spot beam, with higher data rate for ISDN and MPDS.

Have all your favorite satellite television stations while you are at
sea.
The satellite antenna system with the most advanced technology provides
excellent television reception, even in rough conditions. With highspeed
tracking, non-stop access to your favorite channels is possible, even
during your trip on a vessel in open seas.
It is easy to install since there is no need for cost increasing heading
sensors. Simply connect the supply voltage and antenna cable. The
advanced rotary joint in the antenna allows unlimited turns, no antenna
unwinds - no loss of picture!
For maximum performance of the system, a choice of quality analog and
digital receivers are available. Please contact your Simrad dealer for
recomended models.
Three systems are available depending on where you are sailing and the
type of boat. The TV45 is suitable for use on slower
vessels in areas of strong satellite signals. The TV46
has a much faster antenna follow up speed and is therefore suitable for
faster moving craft. In areas with weaker satellite signals the larger
antenna of the TV60 will give the performance you need.
Electronic Beam Forming (EBF) technology makes it possible for the
Simrad TV antennas to offer interference free pictures. Superlative
tracking speeds and accuracy are derived from an 80 times per second
update received directly from the target satellite, meaning antenna
motion pre-empts picture deterioration.
